So i downloaded the newest build of AIM for X. It's great, uses less CPU then the older builds, even with the ads(i've turned them off). File sharing and direct connection now works. But....there always is a but with an aol product isn't there?


EMOTICONS!!!! AGHH! i hate them. and I can NOT figure out how to run them off, delete them from the program package etc. HOW DO I TURN OFF EMOTICONS!?

I don't think AIM can turn off the smileys.

Adium can, though.

Another one I noticed: When closing the buddy list window, it almost *always* crashes unexpectedly. Happens on both machines too, different specs. Weird.
