Things don't seem to look good based on Ivan Krstić blog the director of security architecture for OLPC
Between his blog and the write up over at ars things don't look too rosey for them. Plus intel is readying its competitor to OLPC.

Technically it is impressive but I think kids who need these also need lots of other things that are far more important anyway.
