Just wondering if there are any comparisons or benchmarks against the two. I know they are quite different computers but I use photoshop and final cut a lot. And I just sold my Powerbook for an iMac and am curious to see roughly what I can expect.

Thanks.

Unfortunately Barefeats hasn't reviewed them yet, but they should have a review out soon.

Since the new iMac G5 2.1 GHz has faster CPU, RAM, HD, FBS.....I'm almost certain the iMac's benchmarks will be quite higher than the PB G4 1.67ghz.

If you don't need a portable, go for the iMac.
My first Mac:

15.2-inch Titanium G4 @ 1Ghz
1GB Ram
40 GB
64MB Video Ram

iPod Nano 4GB Black

Yeah I did go for the iMac. I'm just looking forward to it and thought it would be interesting to see some benchmarks or head to head comparisons. I know it will be much faster. The current PB line is no professional computer.
