if that image hasn't already become a PWNED graphic it will very, very soon.
Oh and I like that it actually went inside the folded cuff of her jeans. Wow.
edit: since I'm already going to hell, and bored:

Not to be morbid or anything, but where's the blood? I'd think you would bleed fairly heavily if something went through a part of your body.

True, but if the spear is wedged in tightly then it puts enough pressure on the wound that it prevents bleeding. When it is removed, however.. it will pour.

Perhaps it would be a better idea if you didn't stand exactly by the landing spot where a guy is trying to throw a metal spear.

All I could think of is she was watching the thrower for penalties, otherwise, yeah, if your job is to watch the javelin, you might wanna keep an eye on it.

That only qualifies for bronze in Javelin Catching-and the guy in the commercial only qualifies for silver. The javelin has to STICK through the TORSO for gold.
Shouldn't "good vision" be a qualification for any sports judge? "That javelin is coming AT ME. I should move NOW!" Doesn't look like that happened in either case...

There isn't much blood flow in the foot.
When I was pre-med, we had guest physicians come in and talk about why their chose their particular specialty. The foot surgeon chose his specialty because he wanted to do surgery, but he couldn't stand the sight of blood.

Britain was pretty impressive when they got the bronze in Helsinki for the 50m Getting-Eaten-By-a-Crocodile.

Something like this happened on our high school track team. Except the javelin went into the guy's leg. Of course he just pulled it out and walked away. He still has a nice size hole in the spot where the javelin hit him.

Actually, back in college, I was working as a timer for a track and field event. My back was to the actual field, as I was handling races, so all I initially saw was the crowd react in utter horror to something that had just happened behind me.
A girl had taken a practice throw with her javelin, and the guy doing the spotting, well, didn't spot so well and had gotten struck.
In the head.
I and the other track judges turned around just in time to see him stand there for a moment with it hanging out of his head, then pull the damn thing out before collapsing. In moments he was absolutely surrounded by trainers and medical professionals, but everyone who had witnessed it was convinced he was a goner.
He turned out to have gotten extremely, extremely lucky; it was a shallow-angle hit to the forehead, and didn't actually penetrate his skull, instead glancing off the skull, burrowing under the skin of his forehead and coming out the other side.
So, a foot injury -- that's minor league, and I'd say a headshot is better gold medal material than torso, yes?

Funny, like Albert Pujols mentioned above, a guy in my high school took a javelin to the calf as well. I think it was during practice and nobody saw it coming. He was on crutches for a while.
I almost hit my teacher with a discus in middle school because she turned away to yell at some girls who were messing around on the soccer field. Couldn't take back the throw even though I saw it heading in her direction.

YOW! That was one he'll tell his grandkids about!
But still, to be gold it has to stick-unless removed by the target, that is.
