Hey guys. I've got an ipod touch 8gb. Im not clear about something and I hope someone can clear it up for me.

Is there going to be an upgrade to the software on my ipod touch?

What I'm most wanting out of the upgrade is for my calender to support categories, and for notes to be more supported.

Will this be coming? Thanks for any help you guys.
Backups are like guns and condoms. It's better to have it and not need it than to need it and not have it.

Actually, it's $9.95 for iPod Touch users to upgrade to 2.0 according to Jobs in the keynote.

So the new software WILL a. add the functionality I want, b. will work on the ipod touch 8gb? Just making sure before shelling out money for something I don't need.

I don't know about notes, but the keynote did show different-colored events in the iPhone's calendar. I'm sure we'll see more about it once it comes out - just wait until July 11. But I can't imagine not paying the $10 for this big of an upgrade.

A) We won't know for sure until early July, but probably in some form. B) Yes. It will work on any iPod touch or iPhone.

You'll likely have to restore it to install 2.0
