We got roughly 3-4 days to go until all will be revealed from the big 3. In my opinion it's going to be the biggest E3 since the introduction of the PS2/Xbox/GameCube. So what are you all looking forward to or hoping to find out ?

Ill go first.... being a Nintendo fan......boy ......
-obviously the Wii ...what the hell is that last secret and what will games look like and play like ? pricing and launch details...and virtual console details.
-the new Mario Wii game
-Zelda: Twilight Princess
-Metroid Prime 3
-Red Steel
-Sadness (game being developed by indie developers from Krakow)

Also, i dont know if any of you heard, but the NDS Lite will launch in Australia on June 1st and in N.America on June 11th. Thats right, Australia is acually getting it first...i think hell has frozen over yet again. ill be picking mine up solely for the New Super Mario Brothers.

Cheers

Does anyone know if the PS3 will be revealed for sure? Surely it's about time by now if they plan to ship this autumn?

I wonder what the initial pricing on the PS3 and Wii will be. Maybe this will be revealed?

The HD-DVD drive for the 360
Details on the PS3
Whether or not the Wii will be worth it, or the same old tired franchises with a new controller.

*Cranks up "Europe"*

My order of excitement:

• Wii software and gameplay revelations.
• Any and all Zelda/Metroid/Mario-related software, especially Twilight Princess. Here's hoping for the revealing of a Wii Metroid.
• Burning Crusade expansion (Blood Elves, baby!).
• New DS software.
• PS3 software.
• 360 software that isn't boring.
• This thread turning into another moan-and-groan-fest about Nintendo.

This many people are curious about Twilight Princess? Even though, like, all the information they've revealed on it so far is in flux, and their preview for what would become "Wind Waker" was even more deceptive? I'm just going to wait and see.

I'm curious about the PS3, Wii and WOW expansion.

I'm looking forward to the DS lineup. The PSP has been loads of fun... playing emulated SNES games anyway.

I'm also interested in Zelda, Ratchet & Clank and what Maxis is up to.

Zelda, of course. Also hoping for more info about the PS3. And maybe something Metroid, if at all possible.

1) 13" MacBook
2) More specifics on MS's HD DVD drive (as opposed to just the lame info that it's coming). Too bad there's going to be no discussion of price.
3) More specifics on the PS3. Too bad there's going to be no discussion of price.
4) More specifics on Wii, and price info. Nintendo is gonna be talking tomorrow a.m.
5) Downloadable demo of Rockstar's Table Tennis for Xbox 360.

P.S. That Sonic Hedgehog for the Xbox 360 looks interesting. I'll download the trailer when I get home.

More Crysis footage and hands-on experiences.

I loved Far Cry and the great article in the April issue of Edge made Crysis sound even more interesting. Non-linear maps, great enemy AI and complex environments are good stuff. Especially in these days of boring movies-on-rails games like HL2 and Doom3.

You forgot the part where the Sony version is better and cooler than the Nintendo one.

And of course, the Sony version will break much more often as well, but...

Both Nintendo and Gyration have patents actually. It was so long ago when the patents were found people assumed it was for a new Gamecube controller.

Yeah, the first releases should go up to 720p in non-trusted mode, but not 1080p.

Also it appears most 1st gen PS3 games are not 1080p.

Games should never be in 1080p. Devs have said that from the beginning. The extremely small market of people how have 1080p sets and hardware is soo soo small and the load it would put on the CPU is ridiculous.

Ya the PS3 is expensive but if you buy a blu-ray drive and game System separately it would cost 3x as much so I am happy.

By the time the PS3 launches, HD-DVD will be $400 and the Wii will be $250. 3x more? I don't think so...

Also your "games don't need to be 1080p" thing is pretty ironic coming from you. I actually played a Gamecube on an HD-TV this weekend, and it looked fine aside from the bars on the side. And the Wii supports widescreen anyway.

Personally, quite frankly I'm a little bit surprised Sony is charging so much. I was expecting US$499 for a unit with HDMI.

Why? Because I think $599 is just too much for a console.

Yeah, the Xbox 360 with HD DVD drive is probably going to cost as much, but at least people who don't want the HD drive can get a unit for $399, or a base model for $299.

Sony OTOH is gonna make everyone pay at least $499 for Blu-ray, whether they want it or not. It wouldn't be so bad if it was $499 including all the fixins, but that $499 gets you a stripped down model.

What's the difference in 3D-land between 1080p and 1080i? As far as calculating pixels, it should be the same cost to the CPU and GPU: 1920 × 1080. The only limiting factor is the bandwidth between the console and the display, and the capability ($$$) of the display itself... unless I'm missing something.

Well... you're not missing anything. Most of the PS3 games max out at 720p, not 1080i rather than 1080p.

Well, that pretty much sealed it—I ain't getting a PS3 anytime in the next year or more. I'll get Wii launch day. I'm gonna hold off on a sequel to a console that appears to be prepping the same games from last generation, but with prettier faces, that didn't interest me then. Only Sony wants me to pay $500 to play them? Nah, I'll wait a few years. My friend has a 360, and that's enough for me, as I'm equally unimpressed thus far.

Is it really crazy for people to believe that one is completely unimpressed with these next-gen games without screaming "fanboy," or that one is announcing this opinion for the sake of disagreeing? And CoD 3 already? How many WWII games are needed? Maybe a new epic every few years, sure. How much can you refine gameplay mechanics in something like CoD? It seems like the only things that can really change are story and graphics when it comes to this genre of game (not counting online play). And that doesn't do it for me enough. Of course, this explanation could be applied to any game, but I'm talking about myself personally, and CoD-type games specifically. I can't believe they announced CoD 3 already, seriously.

This far into the "next generation" of console gaming and I'm bored already.

I, for one, am excited about CODIII because I'm interested in finding out how this WWII turned out.

The great thing about the Nintendo franchises is even though you have the same characters, the games themselves really change. Even though Zelda64 had the same characters as the first Zelda, it really wasn't the same game. In the same way, Metroid Prime wasn't really the same game as the first Metroid. It's a lot different than the "Same game new levels!" approach of games like Halo and CoD.

Nintendo shouldn't have an issue with this, a Microsoft controller (SideWinder?) had this stuff ages ago.

Besides, this is just simple detection of pitch, yaw and tilt. The Nintendo tracks many more attributes with spatial accuracy, so it's quite different.

They're nice extensions to the Sony controller, which could be used creatively, but I'd still rather have the rumble feature instead Leaving that out sucks.

I'm an admitted Nintendo fan, but that's one hell of an expensive system Sony...

Also, they had to cut the rumble on the controller to hack in the motion sensors at the last minute...people are really going to miss rumble.
