On Friday, 3/10, the Lehrer Newshour on PBS has a piece on the DC schools that was almost a commercial for iMacs. Everywhere you looked there was an iMac to be seen--in classrooms, libraries, and offices. The only exception was a lonely Wintel machine in a classroom. I sort of felt sorry for the poor thing

Fox 5 News at 10 (DC area) ran a feature on computers in elemtary schools tonight and how they're both beneficial and detrimental but that many schools can't afford to spend an extra $200-$300 to equip each student with mini-computers. Anyway, a couple of the classrooms were fully loaded with eMates. Remember those?
