I have a new iMac DV SE, running MacOS 9 with software update, and I saw there were new OpenGl drivers available (1.1.2), so I clicked 'update' I thought everything went fine and Software update gave me the message after downaloading the drivers 'restart' But when I looked inside my extensions folder after restarting, for the openGLdrivers, they were still version 1.1.1! STRANGE. Anyone has the same experience with software update and the new openGL drivers?

I didn't have that problem, but mine started to download and then it just stopped about half-way through the process. I was still connect to the internet so I don't know what the problem is. Just go to this website to download the Update Open GL Installer:

Ok, thanx. I just downloaded it by my browser, but if the whole idea behind software update doesn't work, why the hell is it there then?

I have found that when I tried to download it lastnight using the software updater My ssytem froze but no crash. After force quitting I noticed I got a message about the login unexpectedly crashed. This morning I shut off the Multiuser and it worked all fine and dandy. This Software updater is pretty cool. Hoepfully this helps

I had a seperate problem with the OpenGL update... Software Update reported that everything was up to date, when it wasn't (I was using 1.1.1 of the drivers).
