I was on the Sears.com website Friday, getting information on lawn mowers. I don't necessarily know a lot, so I was making notes on features, sizes, etc. I found a great resource there (sadly, I can't find it again, so I can give you a web address), but could NOT copy via highlighting text at all. No highlighting happened. The information was on the screen, but nothing I could do would let me highlight said information and paste it into another document so I could figure out all my options.

Anyone have any idea why this was, what "specialty" kind of document this was within the site where you can't copy? And, more importantly, how to get around it? I did some looking around but didn't find anything.

Thanks in advance. I'm sure it's something easy.

Turn off javascript then see if it'll let you copy.

Or print as pdf, then select the text from the pdf.

Did you try Apple + A (select all)?

Also, Save As should let youn save the page as a web archive.

It's the "handy" javascript thing on the Sears page. If you click ABOVE the box with the mower's data in it and drag down across the box, you'll be able to highlight the text and then copy it with "Command-C".
