Hi friendlies,

For almost a decade we had a regular Bell Sympatico modem. We plugged into it an Apple Airport Express and created a wireless network, and everything was good. Then the Airport Extreme was launched and we plugged that in, moved the Express to the top floor of our house and things continued to be good.

A few months back we began getting disconnects which turned out to be the fault of the old Bell modem we were using. A Bell minion came by and swapped out the old modem for a new Bell wireless box and our Apple Extreme was unplugged. The problem with disconnects vanished but the signal strength on the top floor of our house is now awful.

My question is: does anyone know of a way to make the Airport Extreme (or Express) work with the Bell Wireless box and maybe extend our network a bit? Does the Extreme need to create a network or can it hook into one that is already running and extend it?

advTHANKSance for any counsel you can provide.
