And "garbage"? Hardly.

This is pretty much exactly what I was waiting for.
Well it amounts to nothing more than a speed bump, which is nonetheless always nice. A redesign seemed warranted considering their strategy with the Mac App store and an effort to banish the optical drive.

Not yet.

i7 to replace Core 2 Duo, and 10 GBit Lightpeak are "nothing more than a speed bump", eh?

In the universe I live in, this is more than I'd hoped for - except for screen res, that is.

No prices available yet for France or UK. We're bound to get shafted though.

Press releases seem to indicate €50 cheaper than before for the 13" and base 15" models.

So did battery life go down? I thought the previous 13" model had 10 hours of battery life. The Apple Store now lists it at 7.

My sig is 1 pixel too big.

No, the previous model was 7.

Did anyone notice how MobileMe is no longer available to purchase at a discount with a new Mac? A sign of things to come?

Edit: You can't even buy MobileMe from store.apple.com anymore.
