I love F1 racing.
Saddly all I can watch is the RedNeck sport of NASCAR.
I would love to view some hard core indy or rally races, so I can get into it enough so I can learn all of the drivers

I GOT WASTED WITH PHIL SHERRY!!!

Do you not get speedvision?

They usually broadcast the F-1 races late at night. (So you can tape them anyway).

I thought Speedvision carried the race AND practice live? Of course that means that most of the races are on at like 6:30 (CST) in the morning. Maybe that qualifies as the middle of the night? If memory serves, that means that the Australian GP will be on about midnight or so (CST) Saturday night, so don't forget!

Oops, forgot to guess the winner! Schuey all the way!

(Hakkinen is taking a sabbatical, right? So I guess the contest this year will be between the Schumachers (Michael and Ralf), Coulthard, and Montoya? Who's in the other seat at McLaren this year?)

Driven (is this based on the movie Driven?), do not despair.... you didn't miss the race... Qualifying is Sat. and race is on Sun. You will still be lucky if you happen to have the channel which telecasts....

Enjoy....

Though he's supposed to have taken a sabbatical.... most believe that he may not come back to racing in F1 again. That'll be a sad loss to F1. In spite of a big time fan of Schumy I always liked Mika for his great driving skills and his humility as a person.

Thank you! Now I can sleep in peace tonight. <GRIN>
(I've been having a bad day ... sorry)

I've actually been using driven as my screen name since about 8 or 9 months before the movie was announced. That said: I love the title for that film. <GRIN>

But yes ... I'm a HUGE racing fan. Pretty much anything with 4 wheels. F-1, NASCAR, CART, Sprint-Cars, LeMans, Touring Cars, etc.) For some reason IRL doesn't seem to impress me much though.

That would be a shame. Did he give a reason for leaving?

I knew he was leaving and I know he said for family reasons ... but I wonder if that's it.

He certainly has the talent. With him out of the picture though I guess I'll have to focus my efforts on rooting for Montoya!

Montoya shows promise. Once he realizes that it's not a 1000HP+ CART machine he'll do fine.

Who's your guy?

I just read what happened to sato...poor guy, first ever F1 race and he has hyrdolyics failures in his first ever lap that matters and he can't qualify. I'm glad FIA gave him a spot in the the race tomorrow.

Montoya got screwed, Fisi held him up big time, he could've shaved like 6/10 of a second off his time. that would've been huge. Oh well, since its going to rain and Ferrari seems to be the only team that knows what its doing in the rain (mclaren used to, but they're running on michilens this year and that might take some getting used to...) i'm going to predict that rubens is leading the WHOLE race and on the final lap the ferrari management will ask him to pull aside and let michael win like before. so I'm calling a top three of

Michael Schumacher
Rubens Barrichello
David Coulthard

I wish montoya wins, but if it rains he doesn't stand a chance.

GO WILLIAMS!

Who do you think it is? Michael Schumacher, of course....

Anyway, now it has been proven right as well..... Though I must admit that Montoya also drove well to get 6 points. This guy is showing lot of promise.....
