Meteo has been my favorite weather app for years, sadly weather.com seems to have changed their format and Meteo can't handle it. The project hasn't been under development for some time and a brief attempt to compile shows me that it's going to take some real work, at least for me.

So, what's your favorite menubar weather app? Ideally I'd like something as close to Meteo as possible, but essentially, I just want an icon and temp in the menubar, and radar in the menu.

Try WeatherDock. It has replaced my Meteo for a few years now.

One of the best features of Meteo is the Radar Map which WeatherDock does not have.

BTW, Meteo is still working fine for me.

Want to talk about a dead app?

I'm still using WeatherPop.

Agreed, and multiple cities.

Are you sure about meteo? Check the last update time, and if it is, can you tell us what sources and cities you're using?

I'm using Meteo 1.4.8 and I only use 1 city - Seattle but it's operating normally for me.

The developer recently posted this:

It's great to see that Meteorologist still has so many faithful users, particularly since Meteo hasn't had a release in nearly 2.5 years. I will do my best to release a new version of Meteo in the coming days/weeks, although I'm currently traveling for business. I noticed that a few other people have offered to help patch the code, and I would welcome those patches!

Thanks,

Joe

I would certainly be willing to pay for a patch as this is a wonderfully useful application. I hope Joe, the developer, makes the new version or patch available at a nominal cost rather than free. He certainly deserves it.
