Native Flash/plugin blocking in Chrome

Tip:
1) Disable any Flash blocking extensions current running
2) Go to "about:flags"
3) Enable "click to play"
4) Restart your browser
5) Go to your Chrome prefs -> Under the Hood -> Content Settings
6) Under "Plugins" set the option to "click to play"

This is actually a pretty cool feature, I find it much faster than running an extension...

If you look through the possible settings in Safari, there is an option like this. Setting it in the .plist (or with defaults, same thing) does nothing, but it shows that they were thinking about it.

The new Mac Pro has up to 30 MB of cache inside the processor itself. That's more than the HD in my first Mac. Somehow I'm still running out of space.

Have you tried this in the Nightlies? I'd be happy to if you can let me know the path to where you found the pref XML/plist?

Good find. Wish it would give a preview like "click to flash" extension is safari does.

Are you sure that ClickToFlash is doing that and that is not just the href for the plugin? Do you have an example?

No, I haven't tried it on anything other than the Safari 5.0.5 that I have installed right now.
Safari has a file that details the default settings in the app - presumably what is supposed to get copied out . You can find it by doing Show Package Contents and then going to Contents -> Resources. In there is a file called Defaults.plist. This file has an intriguing setting called StartFlashAutomatically. As I said, it doesn't do anything as far as I can tell.
