Try as I may time after time,
when I use the tabs feature and try to load 3 or 4 sites with tabs, the browser locks up.
Camino implements this feature flawlessly.
Come on Apple, how about a fix!?

Ever thought maybe it was just you?

Try trashing the prefs or support folder and report back

No problems here, I've had 6 even 8 tabs open and no stability issues. My internet connection slows but then its a dial up.

Yeah, I stopped using Safari long time ago because of the stability issues. Camino works much better.

I love Safari but have had problems with it loading pages ever since upgrading to Panther. Some snooping around on apple support site finds others in a similar situation -- it might actually be an Airport/WiFi problem & Apple is working on a fix. It also sometimes affects mail, Watson and Netnewswire and other Internet applications.
The main symptom is it works for a while then after a few tabs or an extended period, connection is "lost" even though you're showing all the bars on the airport indicator. Renewing the DHCP license sometimes works for people. Others seem to think there is a problem with the iCHat beta with rendezvous enabled. Disable rendezvous and you may see improvement.

What about trashing the HISTORY plist for Safari. It can get to be HUGE... and complex. might want to trash it?

:EDIT:
PS: speaking of bloated pieces, I notice that the Safari prefs folder "FORMS" is 12.8 MB.
Anybody know what that IS exactly... folders go down several levels and do NOT have GIFs of JPGs as I thought they might. Is this something that could be cleaned out occasionally?
