This is so stupid. So I did a fresh install of 10.5 and didn't install print drivers thinking I could download them from the manufactures web site while at the same time saving space. Smart right? But Nooooo.

Go to the manufacture web site and they say sorry Charlie, the drivers are included with 10.5. I figure Ok, I'll just whip out 10.5 install dvd and do a custom install and just install the print drivers. Smart right? But Noooo. 10.5 Install won't let me just install drivers.

Anyone have a suggestion?

Don't boot up with the disc. Just put it in while booted and choose the Optional Installs package.

Also, if it's a USB printer, just plug it in and run Software Update. The appropriate driver will be downloaded.
