I have read that the ways to get your hands on developer tools is to have Panther, I do. I can't find where to install them. I went on to the Apple Developer page, tried to download them, but all I have now is a folder with 20 dmgpart.bin files I can't do anything with.

Can someone please explain the easiest way to download and install developer tools?

Thanks -

The dev tools CD comes with Panther if you bought the OS or the upgrade. The CD is called "XCode Tools" or something to that effect.

If your computer came with Panther pre-installed, the installer is in somewhere like /Applications/Installers -- I am not sure the exact path since this does not apply to me.

If you download the tools from the ADC Member Site, you should get a whole bung of .dmgpart.bin files and one .dmg.bin file. Open the .dmg.bin one and DiskImageMounter will automatically piece together the rest.

Ahh, got it. I was trying use toast, and I was getting an error suggesting I was missing the cue file for the bins. Thanks!
