Hey everyone,

Curious to know if there might be a way to accomplish this ... my band plays shows in galleries, warehouses and such and we often use projection. Each time we do this, we have to create a custom DVD due to the changes in the set list. Is there a way I could create a SINGLE DVD and somehow program (via Automator or AppleScript) the capability to play the DVD tracks in any order I choose? It would be great to have a single DVD with all the visuals and program the set list into something rather than have to constantly create a new DVD...

With VLC you could create a playlistitem in which you can specify Title+chapter for a DVD
Add all the chapters you want in order to vlc. Save that as a playlist.
Run your playlist in VLC, and you should get what you want.

so dvdnav:///dev/rdisk1@1:3-1:5
Will play chapter 3 trough 5 of title 1 of the DVD
use multiple of such items in a playlist that you run from front to end.
