with the availability of many new apps for the iphone, I'd like to get rid of some native apps that come with the iphone (point in case, purchased Pcalc RPN calculator and no longer need/want the native iphone calculator). There are a few other apps that I'd like to eliminate as well. Is there a 'safe' way to remove native iphone apps or am I stuck with these stock apps?

TIA

Just move them off the home screen so they don't annoy you as much.

Not to mention the size of these apps are mostly 500k to 1 MB so you're not saving much anyway.

And just to be technical, the apps we're discussing are native Apple apps. All apps that run on the iPhone are native.

I figured as much. But still, with the increasing availability of apps that are better than those that come the iphone, Apple should provide the option to delete any App the owner doesn't want. It is about saving space....it's about unnecessary clutter and unneeded redundancy.

cheers
