Hello,

I'm having a heck of a time getting PPTP to work. I'm trying to connect to a windows network. I have a Mac and PC at home and the PC can connect fine. On the Mac I have enable the verbose logging and can see the connection is made. The problem look like the Mac is making a request for something but doesn't get it so it times out. Here's an expert of the log:
Connect: ppp0 <--> socket[34:17]
sent [LCP ConfReq id=0x1 <asyncmap 0x0> <magic 0x8d450b12> <pcomp> <accomp>]
same as above x 9
LCP: timeout sending Config-Requests
Connection terminated

TIA

Is your VPN server listening on the PPTP port (1723)? What happens when you do this:

telnet servername 1723
