If you have tried a Magic Trackpad with your Macbook Pro or other Macs, I would interested in what you think about it? I bought one and while I like it a lot it's still a learning curve for me anyway. While it seems to work great with most software,I still have a few minor problems with things like Chrome. I just can't seem to get the scrolling quite right. The only other problem I am having right now is an occasional program coming up that I don't want but, apparently because of my fingers going a certain way on the Magic Trackpad I get what I don't want.

I use a tablet. I have no use for track pads.

I've used the Magic Trackpad a fair bit, though not for long stretches at a time.

It feels exactly the same as the MacBooks' buiilt-in trackpad to me.

I really wish it had existed when I rebuilt my workspace and had to buy a Magic Mouse.

You absolutely need BetterTouchTool. Without it, the Magic Trackpad is really not magic.

Me too. That's why I love it.

Love it (the trackpad) even more than the one on my MBP as it is larger. I now use it more than a mouse or my old trusty trackball.

Goes through the batteries though. And I wish there was a way to turn it into a numeric keypad.

Although I said I probably wouldn't like it, I went ahead and got one. I'm not liking it as much as the magic mouse but I'm going to give it another week or two. I suppose I'm "using it wrong" but I find that having to keep my hand hovering over the trackpad strains my wrist. I'm concerned it will cause my cyst to return (which the magic mouse magically eradicated).

I'm using it on the Mac Mini that's hooked up to the TV.

Certainly no complaints about how little space it needs versus a mouse.

I don't like that it needs to rest on something if I want to use it on the couch. I'm using a hardcover book. I think I'd like it more with a smaller and more rigid form of support. Still beats trying to mouse on a couch cushion.

I like it better than my Magic Mouse, but part of that is how out-of-control sensitive the touch surface is. I almost think mine may be broken.

BetterTouchTool looks interesting, but I can't remember half the basic moves as it is.

I use mine on the couch all the time. I have it set to "Tap to click" so I don't have to activate the physical buttons. I don't use it for that much file management, but for the basics, it's great.
Too many Apple/Mac products to even bother listing!

You know, I thought there might be some function like that. Thanks for the info.

At the moment, I'm doing some gaming on it, so losing the physical click would take getting used to. In normal non-game use, I end up leaning over to the coffee table, or if it's iTunes related, use the Remote app.

I'm also worried about the dog putting a paw through the thing, so as it stands, I have to always be sure to get it back on the coffee table anyway.

Still, as I figure out how to integrate it, no click may be the way to go. I wasn't even planning for my new Mini to go with the TV, it just fit so perfectly where I had my old AppleTV. I didn't even have to put in new cables.

Hell, I didn't even need to change the order of the cables. Power, Ethernet, and HDMI are all in exactly the same place as they are on the AppleTV.
