I have used FFMPEGX for all my conversions until recently, when I got a file off of my PC and found it doesn't convert WMV's. Now VLC and Flip4Mac play these fine, but I need something (freeware) that can convert this for editing.
I use Flip4Mac...it's worth the few bucks to get all the better features.
