RW stands for re-write.
What do u mean your PowerBook is not capable to read this format of media??
Apple/Mac OS X supports DVD-R and RW formats.

The OS supports DVD-RW but not all SuperDrives support DVD-RW. The SuperDrive in the 15" Titanium PowerBook does not support DVD-RW but the SuperDrive in the 15" Aluminum PowerBook does.

I dont think it is that...
If I could post pictures somewhere, As I dont have a .mac account, I would show you guys what I mean....
There was a 5 pack, 2 different colors of packaging but from the same company, one pack had the RW logo and one didnt. Both have single use written on them....
I will try and search where I can host some pics to post

That disc seems to be a +R/RW disc. If the packaging has RW written on it that identifies it as the + format. Some macs will not read +R/RW discs, only -R/RW. The -R/RW package will have DVDR written on it (if I remember correctly). Hope this helps.
