Since DC++ is open source would it be possible to port it to mac easily?

I am no programmer...

er, whether something's open source has very little to do with how _easy_ it would be to port it - it only means you're probably permitted to port it and that the source should be easy to get hold of.

Whether it's easy to port depends on how they code is structured, what language it's written in, what frameworks it depends on, and a whole bunch of other things.

Since I'm not familiar with the app, I'm sorry I can't help you further.

Well, I googled and it appears to be a Windows DirectConnect client written in Visual C++, so a port to the mac would be non-trivial. Why not just use the official Mac client?
