Unlocked 8GB Iphone firmware 1.1.3: Adult owned, 9/10 condition unlocked 8GB iPhone with all the original accessories, box, 2 cable dock connectors, original dock, earbuds, plus the video dock with the agent 18 insert and remote, tow sets of screen covers, glossy and anti-glare, agent 18 ECO case black, Black rubberized grip case from incase, belkin clear case kickstand and finally the bragging rights to use an iphone with any carrier you want without any contracts. I have it up on eBay right now, but if a macnn member makes me an offer that is reasonable, I will cancel the listing. BTW, it is running firmware 1.1.3. Looking for $450.00 OBO. SOLD
Not interested in any trades at this time. I can supply pictures via email if requested.
Mac OS X 10.5 Leopard Full Retail: My wife bought this for her iBook, not realizing this was a DVD, and her iBook has a CD drive... so basically no go. Solution: Buy her a new Macbook. Unfortunately I could not return this to the Apple store since the seal was broken because she tried to install this on her iBook. The seal has been broken, but was never installed on any machines. Looking for $65.00 OBO.

I'm interested in the iPhone but I have no idea how the whole thing works about getting the phone to work with my current carrier (and so I'm a little nervous about it). Can you or somebody explain how it works or point me to a website?

There are step by step instructions here. My understanding was it used to be really hard to unlock iPhones, but now it takes minutes. I came across this site while searching around for iPhone info.

TechSound1, all you will have to do to get this to work is pop in your SIM Card. What you do not want to do is update the iPhone via iTunes at all. I will send the buyer an email containing links you need to enjoy your iPhone for some time to come. I will also provide the software to fix any problems you may encounter if you do accidently update the iPhone via iTunes.
I am only selling this because I bought a 16GB iPhone. It takes about 30 minutes to unlock now, when I first unlocked this phone back in September, it took me an hour, and I was on firmware 1.0.2.
What carrier are you on? I have used this phone with T-mobile, AT&T, and t-mobile pre-paids in Canada and Mexico. I have not went overseas yet, but I have installed the Euro fix so you could take this phone overseas if you wish. Let me know if you need anything else answered.

I'm perplexed why you think a combo drive in a Macbook won't be able to use a DVD install disc. It will work just fine.

My Bad, it is just a CD Drive, it is an iBook G3. I will edit my post. bearcat, just to let you know, the Powerbook 17" I bought from you is still humming right along!
Cheers!
