Anyone think Hayden C will show up for the award?

FWIW. I re watched- just to see if I had judged too harshly. I hadn't. In fact, I don't think I judged harshly enough.

I'm going to pull your head off because I don't like your head.

yes, I've seen it several times because my 4 year old likes the light sabers.

Frankly, Portman has acted better in other movies, But in this one, I've watched bowling matches more scintillating than their on screen romance.

I'd narrow that: HE showed up all over the movie. His talent and any character were notably absent. No smiley. This movie offended me.
As far as I am concerned, GL should do the world a favor and not bother with Part III.

I'm going to pull your head off because I don't like your head.

Hayden Christwhatever cannot act based on his performance in that film. A piece of mahoganny could have done a better job. He was so wooden it hurt.

I'll nominate it for "worst television ad for DVD release":

I think Tom Green is the only person to ever have gone to the awards to make speeches. Then again, I think his goal from the beginning was to make the worst movie ever, so I guess it was a success in his eyes.

At any rate, while I enjoyed the SFX and some of the action sequences in Ep II, it is definitally a steamy pile of poo. It deserves to sweep the awards, and I am confident it will.

I hope George sees it and cries. I hate that man now. HE can get crotch itch and die.

My sig is 1 pixel too big.

Thanks for bringing up that painful memory.

I hope Lucas takes all this criticizm with aplomb and hires someone to direct Episode 3. Somehow, though, I think he'll childishly decide that this is all "Hollywood trying to get back at him" instead, and he'll direct and produce another disaster. Then, his failure will be complete...

I've seen the movie three times. Once on opening night, once shortly afterwards, once on an Omnimax screen. I occured to me that the more I watched it, the more I didn't like it. So I stopped watching it... I'm sad that it's not that great. I don't have high hopes for Episode III, but I'll be glad to have the complete story. I don't know that it's the worst film of the year.

*sigh*

Worst movie of 2002?

I think some LOTR fans had something to do with that list.

Yeah, there were WAY worse movies out there last year. None of them with that much cash behind them. I mean "Bad Company," WTF was Hopkins thinking besides "A new Jaguar would do nicely this year?"

This isn't a fanboy thang. I imagine that most LoTR fans would have loved to like both movies...

agreed. I'm NEVER in a position where I hope scifi or fantasy films tank. That only makes it harder for the next one to get made.
However, to use an analogy, I was a diehard Blondies fan, but I died. hard. at their last album. It needed to be their last album.

Merely because you're a fan doesn't mean you turn off all ability to discern (poor) quality. I'm a huge star wars fan, since before most of you were even born. Ep II, after having watched and rewatched it, is a great deal of people standing around talking, with miniscule action that does little to advance the plot, until the arena scene which is overkill action for what it contains. A totally implausible lame love story, a political intrigue thriller with no intrigue and no thrill, and less than stellar special effects for a series that relies on special effects. The characters have less personality than marionettes, and there is no connection to the characters, no apparent internal conflict (as I mentioned in a now scrolled off thread)

Hello , Starwars II was a major disappointment in everybody's view.

And the person who casts new actors deserves to get whipped ! No-one likes curlyhaired actors since the 80's. I hope Hayden Christensen (copy/pasted the name) won't get a girl more when he boasts he played in a Starwars movie once !!

I am very upset to hear this. AOTC was by far the best movie of 2002.

I dunno, it is really had to come to terms with the fact that some people didn't like it and then later have "Adam" confirm the fact that it is bad, doesn?t matter how much I personally enjoyed it.

I will try to pick up the pieces and move on though.

I guess it depends on your perspective. I thought AOTC was pretty crappy, but I went in expecting little. However, I went to see LOTR:TTT expecting the world, and left feeling completely betrayed by the story deviations from the book. I am far more upset by LOTR than SW. That being said, LOTR was still a better movie that AOTC.

I'm not going to call an ambulance this time because then you won't learn anything.

Meh. I thought it was a great improvement over Episode I, and a great film over all. Then again, I don't go into a Star Wars movies with stupid expectations of a good plot and convincing dialogue and acting.

I bet Lucas wishes he had $1 Million dollars for every time he gets lambasted for his horrible movies.

Oh, wait. You mean he does?

Yeah, but George insists on writing all this, y'know, dialogue and stuff too.
