Is print sharing available in OSX yet? I know it wasn't a feature in earlier versions. It is way overdue. Or are there any software packages that will provide this? Thanks.

In 10.2 there will probably be an new printing system based on CURL which you can use to share. You can already use CURL now, but it is a pain to setup if you don't know what you are doing. (read have never worked with it before)

Anyone using Cups for usb printing? If so, was it a simple installation and how is it working?

what about DAVE? sure it's for windows networking, but it lets you share a usb printer like the windows folks, and they can see it. presumably so could other DAVE-using Macs. I downloaded the tryout version and am liking it so far. at the uni so many folks are sharing stuff on their pc boxes that I can't help myself.

no, haven't tried it yet but can. would be pretty interesting, especially since I'd be able to print to a usb printer over airport. I'll give it a try within the hour.
