How do I burn a disk image that's compatible with Windows XP?

You can use toast and it will definitely work. I've heard that the discs created by OS X are compatible with Windows, but I've never personally tried it.

Isn't that ISO9960 (or something like that) format accepted by most platforms ? In Toast you can choose to burn in the format ...

I've had no trouble setting up a folder on my desktop with the files I want on the CD and copying them to a blank cd and burning it.
I had to do this to create a demo cd for my company that ran on Windows. It included the autorun.inf.
The cd's had no trouble running on the other system.

If you're burning a disk image you don't need to choose how the disk will be formatted. That information is included in the disk image. P.S. Where is your sig?


d.fine You're right about ISO 9660. Burning CDS with that format is probably the most compatible way to go.
