This has been the upteenth time I have been banned from the politics lounge, while others who spout dehumanizing and fascist slurs get to stay in.

This is a very disconcerting trend, and a rather shameful message being sent to the Mac and Apple community. Is this really what you want?

I'm sure the folks who own this board don't want the rest of the "world" to think that MacNN "prefers" fascist members.

Like it or not, the political forum is going to become a much more civil place. The trolling, flaming, and general overall nastiness is coming to an end, and to achieve that end some of the participants have been removed from that forum until they can prove they can debate a subject like adults, without spitting vitriol in the faces of all those with an opposing view point. That includes you. No matter what you'd like to believe, your being banned from the pol forum has nothing to do with your views, and everything to do with the manner in which you posted them.

We've given ample opportunity for people to behave and debate in an intelligent and adult manner, and some people have have chosen not to seize that opportunity, instead choosing to stifle all debate with their trolling and name calling.

And just so you know, your so called 'fascists' are banned from there as well. You aren't a victim here, so stop acting like one.

There is no "anti-fascist" policy at MacNN. They have a right to this viewpoint that you call fascism just as much as you have a right to yours, which I'm sure they have names for as well. I object to being made a scapegoat of, for the sake of fairness™.

Fairness would mean the one who stepped out of line would get banned, and not anybody else.

It is fairly obvious why warung got banned with his "fcuk you all" and "you are a fascist pig" statements. It was after that specific post that warung made, that got the thread locked. So basically, if warung had never called anybody names, I would not be banned now.

I'm curious as to why I got banned. Do they just pick some random name from a hat when it's banning time ? Why me ? Let the admins ban somebody else for the sake of fairness.

Admins - "Well, we just banned this one dude who had a foulmouth and engaged in nonstop ad hominem attacks, now we need to pick somebody from the other side, just to be fair™.



And if the admins on this forum were really fair, they would ban the people who have engaged in personal attacks against me. I can produce a whole bunch of posts as proof, if they're interested in fairness™ that is. Those people have not been banned. I wish to see all of them banned, as they have violated the rules. Or do the rules only apply to certain people ?

No, because it happens so often, that I would be seen as an annoying little whiner, if I constantly flooded their PM boxes with my complaints. The admins read some of those threads, they know the real deal.

I am pretty sure that the admins get plenty of messages from certain whiners complaining about me, so perhaps that's why I was banned. 15 terrorist supporters complaining about me can't all be wrong can they ?

Why not create a MOSH PIT with no rules? That's a very good point, and actually what this thread is about. I disagree with you on this one. MacNN is a privately owned board, and they don't allow quite a few things here...why do they allow people to spread their xenophobic and hateful messages (disguised as religious views and patriotism), if you can't even type out the word f*ck...That doesn't make sense to me.
