If I Cmd+N or go through the menu, my Finder windows always come in my size and display preferences. However, my folders opened from my desktop always come up in the default small windows. If I manually resize those folder windows it will stick, but new folders there always revert to the default Finder window size. Is there any way to fix that?
This seems to have the same behavior if I Command/Option+Double Click a folder from any Finder window as well.

I am not sure what you mean. I just created a new folder, it opened in standard size, I made it much larger, closed it and reopened it, and it was the large size. You always have to first resize the window to your wants, then it will stay such. Maybe am not understanding your question.

This should help to explain it.

Basically, you want to change the default window size for new folders. I don't know of any way of doing this. Search versiontracker. Maybe there's an app that lets you change default folder characteristics.

Close all your Finder windows... open ONE window and make it whatever size you want... now close that window... now every window you open will be the size of the single window you opened.

That does not as you described and that was the not issue I am presenting. ^_~ iBook_Steve has the basic answer I am looking for that it will have to be a third party solution.
