boot from dvd didn't work

	had been getting only a blinky question mark on my iBook, so i tried to boot from dvd. on the first attempt it got to apple screen with the spinny thing... and just hung there forever. so i tried again and got the blinky question mark again, but this time the background was blue, unlike before when it was grey. any ideas?
