Looks really nice, great work, great idea. I’m sure people will love that. And I’ll use it, too
That’s what said Sascha when he saw DOCUMiUN, i’m pretty glad about it

Hi,

I'm working on a Complete Documents replacement set inspired by MINIUM° from Rad-E8. Sascha Höhne is agree to let me release this set, he's pretty excited about it indeed. I try to make icons replacement for MAC OS X, including DMG, Zip files.

DOCUNiUM will include an HUGE number of icons. There is currently more than 260 icons made in resolution 128x128, 48x48, 32x32, 16x16.

FAQ

1°)Which application will have an icon replacement?
Here the list of current application with icon replacement
All application included in MAC OS X (Adress Book, Safari, Preview, iCal, TextEdit, Quicktime, FontBook, internet connection, DMG & Zip files, Preference Panel)
•iLife application ( iTunes, iDVD, iMove HD, Garage Band)
•iWork (Keynote 2 & Pages)
All PRO application from Apple (DVD Studio Pro, Final Cut Pro, Logic, Soundtrack, Shake)
•Macromedia product ( Firework, Dreamweaver and Flash)
•Adobe product (Photoshop, InDesign, Illustrator)
•Stuffit Expander
•VLC
•Real
•Toast
•Konfabulator
•Bittorrent
•Office 2004 ( Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Windows Media Player)
•TextMare
•Omnigroup product (Omniweb, Omnigraph, OmniOutliner)
•Quark

2°) Are there application replacements included in DOCUMiUN?
Yes, some applications will have a new icon to match document icons, like Safari, Stuffit Expander and other suprises!

3°) When DOCUNiUM will be released?
As I've said before this set will include a huge number of high quality icons, so I'm try to release DOCUNiUM as soon as possible. A lot of work has been done already, so you can expect to see DOCUNiUM before middle of March 2005.

4°) I'm on XP, will you release a Windows version of DOCUNiUM?
Yes, I never forget PC users! Sascha has made MINIUM° for XP so you will have a document replacement set too, no worries.

5°) Hey, I have an app that isn't on your list. Can you make document replacements for my app?
Maybe, if you post the name of the application ( ONLY for MAC application)

Edit 24/02

here's new icon. You can see TexMate replacement developpend with bartelme, and Toast replacement after Sascha Höhne suggestion .
New icons replacement are write in italic in the list. There is now 339 icons in DOCUNiUM.

Special Thanks:
Sascha Höhne of course for his agreement and his support
Wolfgang Bartelme for his agreement to use his TextMate replacement in DOCUNiUM

240 icon!? That's a lot! I look forward to their release immensely. I don't think I even have 240 applications...

Aussi, en anglais la mot 'remplacement' n'a pas un 'm'. Je ne veux pas tre pdant, mais il est sur l'image nigme.

wow thats a lot of icons.

out of curiosity, can i ask why VLC? i prefer MPlayer, since it seems to play most of the movie files i get and without any audio/video problems, unlike VLC, which can hardly play half of what i want to watch and ones it can play, gives errors every 2 minutes or so and audio/video doesn't sync right.

Serious labor of love, my man. Great work... looks like they will be beautiful.

Looking forward to the release.

To dislike Sinatra is a sign of highly questionable taste. To dislike the Beatles is a serious character flaw.

This is very cool, I wis there was a way that CandyBar would work along with ShapeShifter 1.3 * As applying all those app and doc icons manually will be a real (but possibly worthwhile) pain.

* When I try and start CandyBar it comes up with an alert saying that I should set ShapeShifter to use 'Default Aqua Icons', even though I have done this CandyBar refuses to start.

Ok so I missed a 0.1 update of Candybar.

Looking very cool indeed. You seem to have captured all the file types I seem to stumble across. iMovie and iDVD project icons perhaps?

I can't speak for the artist, but I can only assume that those lines are there to prevent people from ripping off his work and releasing the icons as their own sort of a "Watermark"
