I just reinstalled x on my iBook and I'm getting that weird un-anti-aliased font thing going on in IE. I really looks like crap. I fixed on my G4 awhile back but for some reason I'm drawing a complete blank as to what I need to do to correct this. If anyone has any suggestions.....gracias!

Looks like you are using a theme. Try reinstalling that theme, or removing it, and see if this helps.

Doubt it's theme related but could be (I guess)... I assume you already tried system preferences : general : turn off text smoothing options.. also tinkertool has antialiasing options, might want to try messing with either of those.

i just fixed the same thing. I can't tell you if it was my setting the language/fonts in IE or if it was the font smoothing in Tinker Tool. In any case, I had exactly what you had. I just can't say which fixed it.

I just reinstalled on my iBook also. Turn anti aliasing in general control panels down to size 8 and above.
That worked for me.
(I have tinker tool and sosumin installed as well)

Tinkertool, anti-aliasing turned off. I can live with it though.
