I am shocked to see that Apple hasn't added a thing to Sherlock 3 since it's release...what's up? What's next?

I think they want to let Watson to have some advantages over it.

True; however, that is when it calls for Apple to truly be innovative and think of something that can make Sherlock 3 better then our "other better ways of finding the information"...

Apple doesn't necessarily have to develop new channels for Sherlock to be inovative. There are channels being developed by third parties to do many things.

Many of the third party Sherlock 3 plug-ins are useful... I'm almost never using Watson anymore thanks to these plugins. They're maintained by the developers, and Apple doesn't have to update them all the time. Each time they're invoked, they update themselves (if I am looking at my plug-ins right)

When will Apple next add some more channels? Probably at Macworld NY (if there is such a thing this year) or for OS X 10.3 (or whatever they call it) so they can get some more publicity for it and count it as a feature. Or maybe when they update it to use Webcore for HTML rendering. Apple historically didn't add many channels to Sherlock 2, I don't think.
Does Apple want Watson to have some advantages? I doubt it. They are direct competitors. Simple as that.

The real problem is if Sherlock will remain a standalone app, or if it will become a plugin/part available in any app ( la Services, but better)...
