Thin, for sure, but at the cost of ports.
No wireless connectivity built in, and ethernet ports are only on the docking station.
Disappointing, IMO.

Yeah something like that with so few ports is desperately in need of some built in wifi.
That being said, it sure is cute.

I used to have a vaio. But I noticed that with that computer, easily, after one year, the thing was so SLOW! It was "snappy" at first, but not after a few months... With my pb 12", I'm still ticking and it's already almost a year!! Maybe I'll be able to keep this till either a rev C or D if i upgrade my PM first!! After that first year with the Vaio, I had to get it replaced! And what a replacement, I love this PB!!!

I remember, a few years back, when my boss got a vaio notebook. I thought it was pretty cool at first. Very small and sleek, but working with that thing is a major pain. The whole docking station for ports is the worst. You gotta lug that thing around and you had to have an external CD-ROM. Oh the agony. I think he lost either the CD-ROM or the dock at some point. And then it just broke all together. Sony's stuff is cool, but it is still a PC under the smooth exterior.

In other words, the Sony machine is disposable once it breaks after the warranty expires.
I love my CLIE, but I'll be purchasing a Palm PDA once this puppy breaks after the BB extended warranty runs out.
Sony is really good, but their recent electronic gadgets (including notebooks) just have too many moving parts to last. Sad, they're usually cool designs.

I bet that keyboard is horrific to use. Looks like a Cambridge Z88.

I think Apple should open up and let Sony make Mac OS computers. They surely don't like Microsoft (ie Palm vs. PPC), but that's the only way to go now... If all the cool computers (Sony and Apple) are mac based, there will surely be a huge group of switchers. Just dreaming...
