esXXI has already said that Lutetium won't be coming with SS2.0 now, but should follow a short while after. I'm pretty sure Somatic will be included though, from what I hear on the grapevine. As for the others - I think at least two of them will be MacThemes.net contest entries/winners. I have received a nudge and a wink from a certain reliable source that one of these will be HalfLife, although don't quote me on that.

What I am hoping for...
  • Somatic
  • NickelCobalt
  • HalfLife
  • Calabi
I don't expect to see them any time soon, but Joe950's "MiddleEarth" themes would really float my boat right now. How sad it is that we may never see them...

Two days ago Max posted an update on his site saying that NickelCobalt really hasn't made any progress. I'm guessing that means it's not coming in the next few days.

Right now I'm most excited for Somatic.

If your source is telling the truth, Half-Life would be pretty cool. And just in time too.

I don't think they're coming with ShapeShifter 2, but Swiz's updates should rock the house!

since there's such a hostile response to teasers these days, i wouldn't be surprised if at least one of the themes that's being included is a theme that hasn't been mentioned yet. If at every point where you post an image of your theme you either a) get ripped off by a Wintendo user or b) get yelled at for 'pulling a BBX', wouldn't you keep your theme to yourself until it's done? I would.

So I'm voting for... or at least hoping for... SURPRISES.

There will be a few MT productions, but the contest theme that was planned to come out (Sweet Slumber) will be coming in the second wave, a week later, or perhaps on Halloween. Soon, though.

  • Lutetium - No "officiall" word that it will be on the 26th.
  • Somatic - Guaranteed on 26th
  • Azure - Guaranteed on 26th
  • Sweat Slumber - Probably not on the 26th
  • Fear Platinum 3 - Maybe on the 26th (My reliable sources say its on the 26th)
  • Cathode - Unknown release date (looks like its near completion)
  • Calabi - Unknown release date
  • Nickel Cobalt - Unknown release date (Max said its moving pretty slow)
  • Half Life - Unknown release date (My reliable sources say its soon)
  • AlBook - Unknown release date (also soon)
I'm excited.

Pretty accurate, though your reliable sources seem to have different knowledge of Half Life 2's progress from me?

Here's the official MacThemes productions release schedule:

Fear Platinum 3 and Somatic tomorrow.
Sweet Slumber on Halloween.
Lutetium GUI next Tuesday.

I heard 90% done on half life... is that wrong? That guy who told me that wasn't actually a reliable source, just some guy I know who heard from a guy, who heard from a guy....

but the other ones were reliable I swear!

EDIIT: you MacThemes dudes need different sigs, I can't tell you apart! You all look the same!

90% is negative. Raymond decided to redesign all the elements, and he's currently slogging through doing that.

I don't know who your source is, but I can tell you that the last I talked to xanthic he was ending a break and was going to restart work on the redesign. Of course, the last time I talked to him was early august, so my guess is that he's lost all interest in it. Sorry to be the bearer of bad news, but my bet is it's never going to happen.

I believe the guy who originally was supposed to make Half Life (Mike or something was his name) actually did turn it into a theme, so if you still really want it you should find a way to ask him. As I recall it breaks from the mockup in a few key areas, but I might be wrong.

As for what else is in the pipe, I'm just looking forward to some of the new ways for themes to be more complete. Hopefully someone puts (or has put) together a theme that really takes advantage of the new stuff.

Actually, from what he said on his web site, it sounds like it isn't moving at all. It's been dead in the water for quite some time. Apparently, Max hasn't had contact with Paul in a good long while.

Personally, I find this the biggest disappointment of the theme contest. I thought it was the best theme, but for some reason, I knew it would take forever, if it happened at all.

I don't want to sound like a poo-poo, but I hope that if there is another contest, the prizes aren't awarded until AFTER the theme is completed!
