We operate under a very decentralized model. 2 offices, people with laptops in coffee shops, talent spread around the country. We are looking for an affordable way to centralize (web-base) certain parts of our business. Most notably access to files for internal usage. It would be great if we could have one place to store our active job files - and this can mean big files as we do all sorts of work - print, web, motion design.
How should we handle this? Build our own? Are there COTS solutions out there?
Right now it feels like we are operating without a net - and jockeying files in old-school ways.
Needs to be easy. Needs to "brandable" - meaning it should look like our business stuff. Needs to be fast. Needs to be reilable. Needs to be affordable.
How would you do it?
