Sea kayaking this week in Maine.
First, the FunMobile loaded up with 4 kayaks:

Then, enjoying a break on an uninhabited island after a nice paddle:

Consulting work has been slow...IT job market bleak...had to dust off the old CDL and do this 2-3 days a week to get through the rough times...

Another thumbs up. This time for the kids attitude.

Look at the concentration--eyes right on the ball--and he's got a slight upswing happening.
I say flyball to left-center field and a stand-up double. Good job, kid!

Thanks. His swing looks meaner in a still frame shot. He's the smallest kid on the team so I think it was a slow roller to the shortstop. (It's usually always a slow roller somewhere...)

Taughannock Falls!!!!!!

I recognized it even before scrolling all the way down to the bottom of
the pic to see the overlook.

What a beautiful picture. Oh, what fond memories of playing on the overlook
and going down to the base of the Falls. Is the footbridge still there?
I don't see it. When I was kid it got washed out every other year or two
during the spring snow-melt.

I have DL'ed it for my wall paper and am sending a copy to my Dad.
He loved working/living in Taughannock.

yeah, that was just this morning.

the footbridge is still there, though probably a new one since the last time you saw it, it was washed out in the floods from the thaw in '96. but yeah, you can still walk right up to the bottom there.

i live right on taughannock bld. between the nature center and the park, just about a mile before the park on 89.

pm me with an email, and ill send you a whole ton of nature shots from the area. i have a ton. hell, i have this one at 1200x1600 as well...
