Can macs use dial-back servers?

have an iMac DV and a PowerBook G3 - both OS9. My new employer requires a dial-back server connection (my modem calls them, they verify, disconnect, and call my modem back). This is no problem in Windows, but can Macs do this? If so, what do I need to do to get this to work? I hate to be forced to use a PC and my employer insists dial-back is needed for security. Any ideas?

Yes, it can be done. We use LANRovers which call-back the Macs after the dialup negotiation takes place.
Some telco's like GTE can be troublesome though. Find out what "system" your dialup is using - is it a LANRover or other type?

Nope, we don't use LANRover. We have a CISCO router with the Cisco software. Any other ideas?

Have you even tried it yet? I can't tell you anything about that setup, but the best way to know is to give it a shot...

Yes, I've tried. It connects, authenticates, gets disconnected and that's it.
