Excellent point. Or Bugs Bunny breaking the fourth wall in reaction... Either way, better than just a helmet cam going all over the place.

Yeah... I’ve gotten whiplash from a very minor collision.

That made me go though the thought archives.

I’ve been hit twice, I’ve hit other people twice, and once hit a parked car in reverse as a teenager. So I’m averaging about one every 6 years.

Edit: remembered a third time I hit someone, so every 5 years, though I should note, lest anyone think I’m a psycho driver, none of these occurred in this century.

So, for some old-timey woops enabling, that intersection?

Is the same intersection by that red box.

Rather than gently curve like it does now, you used to have 8 lanes making two 90° turns.

I’m trying to remember if I actually drove on it. If so, it was only a few times. It was demolished right as I started driving.

I do have distinct memories of driving during the cluster that was the whole thing being closed and all that traffic getting detoured onto regular city streets.

There’s still a really tight turn a bit further north and it used to have a wipeout every day. It got better once they painted the approach with a ton of horizontal white lines.

I miss all the fun now because my van isn’t allowed, but when I was much younger and had a sporty car, all up and down here was where I did really dumbass shit at 2 in the morning.
