I need to make a new CD and want to throw a bunch of tracks on there that remind you of the summertime.

I don't care if its hip hop... or country. I like Do You Wanna Roll by Snoop Dogg and Friends In Low Places by Garth. So anything is welcome!

Haha. There's School's Out (for Summer). I've heard the A-Teens have an excellent cover of it.

Asereje by Las Ketchup
Nasrudin sat on a river bank when someone shouted to him from the opposite side: "Hey! how do I get across?" "You are across!" Nasrudin shouted back.

Most obvious:

Summertime - DJ Jazzy Jeff and Fresh Prince

Most overlooked:

On the Beach - Chris Rea

Most classic:

Summer in the City - the Lovin' Spoonful (I prefer the Isaac Hayes version myself)
I could take Sean Connery in a fight... I could definitely take him.

I cant hear Wherever I May Roam from Metallicas Black album without thinking of my boyhood days of summer. Cripes, those were the days: staying up all night, sleeping half the day, loading the car with chicks and heading to the beach...

Now when its summer, I mow the yard a lot. And then I get a headache cause its so freakin hot.

How times change.

Here comes the sun

Search for it on the iTMS. There are about twenty different versions. I've just discovered this version: link to the iTMS. Went straight into my wish list playlist for when the iTMS arrives in the UK. Oh boy, this version makes me want to run away to the sun right this instant.

Anything by the Beach Boys, except that horrendous Kokomo song, bleh... and how about Summer Breeze by Seals and Croft (you may have recently heard an updated version of it in the latest GAP ads). Holla.

Honey - Bobby Goldsboro

None of the songs are any good, but they all scream 'summertime'
