Hi,
I notice that I can't reduce the CPU speed in my Pismo. I could do it with my Wallstreet. Is there something wrong with my pismo or what?

Nothing's wrong with your notebook. Apple's taken out the "reduce processor speed" option on the Pismo. The last notebook to have it was the "Lombard" series.

I have a pismo 400mhz, and in the energy saver control panel from os9.1, i have BOTH "allow processor cyscling", and "reduce processor speed" options available. So you will have this option again when you upgrade the os.
I never use them though, as i find the delay after i do things like click a menu unbearably slow.

Thanks for some insight! I haven't used Mac OS 9.1, but that's something I'll look forward to.

Sean, the iBooks now have that feature.

In the Energy Saver control panel in 9.04 you can select processor cycling under advance settings

O.S. 9.1?! Where the heck did you get OS 9.1?
Had to have been either from Hotline or the hour and a half it was on the Apple Developer Connection's website. Or you're testing o...never mind.
Anyway, if you got it legally from Apple, aren't you breaking your NDA by giving details?

Odd. I don't have the option on my Pismo 500 with 9.1... When was your Pismo400 manufactured?
