Since Mac OS 10.1 came out and it became my main OS. I have not been using my Prism because I couldn't sync it with my computer unless under Classic. Because A. No Entourage for OS X at the time and B. No Hot Sync Manger for OS X yet.

So, now Entourage v. X is here, Hot Sync Manger for OS X is here. And I read that MS should be release a conduit on July 15th I believe. All is good? No sadly because of Handspring. Handspring doesn't support the current Palm Desktop.

Basically what I am asking is....

1. When the conduit for Entourage is out can I sync my Visor Prism with it without problems? Regardless that some people got their Visors/Treos to sync with Palm Desktop 4 for OS X.

2. Would it be better to wait for a Handspring version of Palm Desktop/Hot Sync Manger?
- Will will it be released?

Thank you!

To my knowledge, the answer to both of your questions is yes.

If you don't mind playing around a bit you can always do this to be on the safe side:

1) Backup your Palm folder on (burn it to cd, copy to idisk, whatever)
2) Install Palm 4.0 for OS X
3) Run it. If it works, great, if not, restore your old version from your backup (or restore it from the OS X version by moving your home/documents/palm/users folder back to your OS 9 Palm folder.

Pending on the data you have on the device, I'd say give it a whirl. One things worth noting though, if you use AvantGo, prepare to kiss that goodbye under OS X. That's my big problem with OS X.

O
B unce!
