Does anyone know if TechTV will be covering MWNY on Wednesday?
I really hope they do...they usually do. I hate just reading about it. Steve is quite a speaker.

I thought the expo was supposed to be the 15-19th July. Doesn't that make the keynote today? apple.com/hotnews is where I got that date from.

The expo started today I think, but the keynote is not until July 17th at 9am EST.
That's when Apple lets the cat out of the bag about all its new stuff.
I hope it is.
I will have my butt planted on the couch at 9am after calling into work that day (cough cough)

Where did you hear that TechTV will be broadcasting it? Not only have I not heard of them broadcasting it, but they're not advertising it [which is something they'd do] and according to their schedule, they will not be broadcasting it [that link shows in CST times, so they'd have to show it at 8am according to that schedule].

If he weren't there they'd sooner whizz on the Mac than look at it. I really hope they spotlight Jaguar, as it looks like hardware announcements might be a little thin.

[edit: whoops. didn't know mild words like that were out. Substituted something else.]

"TechTV to Broadcast MWNY Expo Keynote -
Adam Gill sent a note that TechTV will be broadcasting the Macworld Expo Keynote. (They did for the MWSF keynote also, with some interruptions but basically shown in its entirety.)"

I do hope they are broadcasting it.

I or someone else should e-mail Leo or Brett to find out.

Thanks!

Why do you need TechTV when Apple themselves are broadcasting it online?

Any chance we in the UK can get the show other than trying to watch the stream? You think you Americans have it bad? Try watching it over the transAtlantic link while competing with folk on BOTH sides of the pond!

He didn't think that it was going to air.
I hope XLR8YourMac is right. I wanna watch!!!

I wasn't looking too closely, but what are the chances the keynote will be streamed in QT5, or are they likely to use QT6 so they can use MPEG4 encoding? It's a wee bit daft isn't it, QT6 was only just released, not really enough time for most folk to get it, is it?

I'm sure they will show it, I've watched it on there 4 years in a row now. First they never update their tv schedule, it will never say Macworld Keynote. Second I've never seen them advertise for it, ever. In fact I just turned it on the day of the keynote and waited all day and they magically cut into it with out so much as a warning that it was about to come on.

Nice link brain. However that article doesn't mention them showing it live.

I checked with www.titantv.com and it didn't show anything like MWNY at 9am EST 7/17/2002 on TechTV. At least not in LA. Unless it will be part of Screensavers maybe?

for what it's worth, for every previous keynote that I have seen on TechTV, the macworld keynote was not listed on their site or in any program guide, it just showed up.

I am 100% sure that this was the case last time, as my digital cable box said "screensavers, tech live, call for help" etc all while the keynote was actually on.
