I Have No David Bowie Songs In My Collection. Do you?

There are several David Bowie songs that I like but I have none of his music in any of my collections (Vinyl, Tape, CD, Mp3 and/or etc.).

I Have No David Bowie Songs In My Collection. Do you?

yup,

Ziggy Startdust, Space Oddity, Heroes, Major Tom, I am Afraid of Americans. I had another CD, but I think I ended up selling it for beer money in College - Many years ago.

Nope. No Bowie.

However, there is a waiter that works at my Applebee's that looks EXACTLY like a young David Bowie.

I had to vote no because I wasn't sure if owning Labyrinth counted.

Of course! Asides from the Labyrinth there are his must have songs from the 80, like China Girl, Let's Dance etc.

I have a lot of Bowie. I have "Under Pressure" which he did with Queen (and from which Vanilla Ice blatantly robbed his guitar sample from for "Ice Ice Baby"), and I even have the David Bowie/Bing Crosby duet from the Crosby Christmas Special in 1977-Crosby's last such special. Plus a number of other Bowie albums. Yep, got Bowie.

Looks like Snoop Dogg and David Bowie are getting tight. Four years ago, both fell from the sky in launch ads for XM Satellite Radio. Now, they play DJ in a new spot breaking tonight. In the commercial, a distressed Snoop rambles around the XM studios looking for something. He asks Ellen DeGeneres, who is there doing her radio broadcast, if sheā€™s seen his necklace, as he gestures around his neck. But behind the glass wall, all she hears is something about a beard. ā€œYou want to be Amish?ā€ she asks. Next he taps on Bowieā€™s studio, and the singer, who is on air, just shrugs. But once Doggā€™s out of sight, Bowie slyly pulls out the glittery ā€œSnoopā€ bling from under his jacket. The spot closes with Bowieā€™s 1979 hit ā€œDJā€ and the tagline, ā€œListen large.ā€ For those who canā€™t get enough of the pairing, check out the upcoming Luc Besson animated film Arthur and the Minimoys. Bowie provides the voice of Maltazard, and Dogg is Max. Other celebrity voiceovers include Madonna as Princess Selenia and Mia Farrow as Arthurā€™s grandmother.

This commercial drives me crazy. I don't get it. Why does David Bowie steal Snoop's bling? And will there be a follow up commercial showing us the ass-kicking that Snoop gives Bowie when he finds out the truth?

adfreak: Snoop, Bowie ham it up for XM Radio
Watch the lying, thieving Bowie at work in the spot here.

Maybe Bowie jacked Snoop's bling because Vanilla Ice appropriated his guitar sample and he was striking back at the Hip Hop world?

By the way, I just noticed that if you scroll down so the top of the screen lines up with the top of the F in MacosNerd's signature, it gives a very different (but not entirely unprecedented) message.

I love David Bowie. He's quadraphonic he's a, he's got more channels. One of these nights I may just jump down that rainbow way, be with Bowie and spend some time together.

Good catch! I wonder is he's related to besson3c? Maybe Luc Besson is besson1a?

He STOLE Snoop's chain.

That would make him a thief not a chief.

Of course, he'd already been in the business for twenty years by the time he did "China Girl".

Were you aware that Lou Reed's "Transformer" is a Bowie album?

One song called David Bowie, by Phish.
