Sadness.

What new "malternative" will rise to the bottom of the beverage industry?

I couldn't stand the stuff, but I know some people loved it.

Sorority girls everywhere panic, and Jolly Ranchers candies begin to amass on grocery store shelves as they go unpurchased,

I've never even tried a Zima. What does it taste like anyway? Is it like a wine cooler or something?

My sig is 1 pixel too big.

It's a "malt beverage". It's clear and has a sort of fruity/clean taste. Kind of like powerade with alcohol added, I suppose. It's in the same class as Bacardi O, Smirnoff Ice, and Smirnoff Triple Black. I think it's like 5.6% ABV.

So, it's basically beer for people who don't like beer.

Yes. And now countless '90s comedy references will slowly become less funny.

Or maybe it's about to become the tab of the alcohol world.

I can understand why they discontinued it.
Why is there always money for war, but none for education?

I don't. It couldn't be because they marketed it as the last drink you would drink if there were no other drinks.

Whoa. Flashback. Yet I do not remember what it tasted like.

I do unfortunately know what Budweiser American Ale tastes like: Ass.

I just saw on Wikipedia that "many areas of the US" prohibit the sale of wine-based beverages anywhere except liquor stores. Where is this true? Indiana and Illinois, AFAIK, allow the sale of all alcoholic beverages in any store that has a license to sell alcohol, including convenience stores and supermarkets...

Colorado. Arkansas still has some dry counties.

Gone?

I just saw a massive shelf full of it here in Japan.

Though it does taste horrible.

Well the article said that the remaining product would still be moving through the distribution system until December.

Do people drink Zima in Japan?
