I screwed up somehow and now my widgets look messed up. Below is what my dictionary widget looks like. I know that I must have removed a critical font or something, but I can't figure out which one.
Damn you Suitcase! Damn you Font Book!

Baskerville? I think that's what the widget uses.

My apologies, I just looked at my widget and it does indeed look like Baskerville.

I had the same problem. I got the right fonts back by applying the latest OS X update. To my knowledge I didn't removed any critical fonts, I never mess with fonts.

I also noticed my Weather widget looks funny as well.
I found out that Helvetica Neue wasn't loaded properly so that wasn't displaying correctly either.
this is my guess. your user/fonts folder isn't what Dashboard uses.
Dashboard uses the fonts in your library/fonts folder.
I think if you mess with that folder, your widgets might look messed up, but i would like some confirmation on this....
