It could also be people with Hackintosh netbooks giving them that name. If it were genuinely from Apple, I would think it would be spaced and capitalized properly: i.e. MacBook mini.

i saw that picture a week or two ago on some Netbook site. Typical article postulating about Apples plans/lack of plans for a Netbook. it's a Photoshop job.
And after the last quarter results, nobody rational feels Apple needs a Netbook to increase revenue

Apple doesn't need to produce a netbook for the revenue, but I surely wish they would!

Look ugly and the screen area is too small. Glad it's not real.

I'm just saying. It's ugly as hell and doesn't look like anything Apple would release.
Some people have too much time on their hands to fiddle with Photoshop.
If that's to scale, then it's not much smaller than a MacBook. And the screen has a terribly thick border. Which would make the screen even smaller than it should be. Defeating the purpose of making the computer small while giving it as much screen as possible.
Screens haven't had borders that thick since the PowerBook Duo days.

Don't you just cringe at how many people get pulled into these photoshopped wonders? How Apple's stock might go up and down based on some misguided rumor? And the journalists who get sucked in, passing them off as confirmed secret plans?

Ugh (discusted). Photoshop drives me crazy. Look how good that picture is. It can pass as reality. Photoshop should be made illegal.

Gotta say, I wish Apple would come out with a Netbook with mini display port and USB... that's really all I need to replace my mom's Mac mini. Heck in general a MacBook mini is more the mini's market than the mini is. Combine it with a USB keyboard and a monitor and you have a great little computer that can go with you when you need it. Would it be a good replacement computer for me? No but it'd be nice to have for on the couch when I don't wanna take my MacBook with me. I mean does the iPhone fill most of what a netbook does? Yup but not for everyone.
