Intel GMA950 supports up to 224mb shared memory.

I have 2 gigs of RAM so I was wondering if theres any way to remove this lock.

I don't care if it involves soldering, removing capacitors, whatever gets the job done.

I don't think there's a "lock" (ie something like downclock of the GPU). It's simply limitation of the hardware design of the chip itself.

What do you mean? Do you mean increasing the VRAM over 64MB (up to 224MB) or increasing it over 224MB? Why do you want to do this?

Just over 64mb. I like to have all the performance I can get.

And it would be a neat achievement.

Then integrated video was a bad choice.

You're not going to get any more performance out of allocating more system RAM to the integrated video chip.

Should have said I want to get the most out of my money...

Anyways... I still want to know if it can be done.
