Does anyone know if the Interview device used to bring video in through USB allows the user to capture video in real time? Also what kind of quality is lost in the transfer?

thanks

You can watch it mirroring the TV in real time. The image displayed on the screen has a natural lag as the iMac is busy talking to the device and copying to the hard drive. What do you need to accomplish? The quality is fine (as good as USB can do anyway), although you should follow the manual's recommendations to get it working the best.... VM off, file sharing off... a minimal extension set works wonders too!
